The powerhouse rockers DC Star formed in the Washington DC suburbs performing for years before recording their first record “Blue Sparks” in 1977. And by the time their last record album "Rockin' in the Classroom" was released by Mirage/Atlantic in 1985, DC Star had conquered northeastern USA from the Carolinas to Maine. 

​

With the passing of vocalist Ken Taylor in 2011 it would have been easy to let memories fade into history. And sadly, another founding member of the band Jeff Avery passed away in 2022. But with the encouragement of fans and support of website developer and life coach Susan Singer of Reach Digital Consulting, band leader and writer David Simmons preserves the legacy.
